Aidea was born at the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show as a new Japanese mobility brand. Their aim is to contribute to society by solving various issues including global environmental challenges by innovating the next generation of mobility and ZEVs (Zero Emission Vehicles).
Aidea’s products are designed in Italy and produced in Japan and are assembled under meticulous and strict quality control.
Unlike other providers, Aidea currently only produce 3 or 4 wheeled electric vehicles which fall into the L2e or L5e category which means they can be ridden from the age of 16 (L2e) or 17 (L5e).
The typical use case of these trikes is delivery and are used by both McDonalds and Japan Post. Due to the innovative loading platform, they are able to delivery more in a single trip and hence the economics and other benefits such as safenty make these a viable option for such tasks. In addition, as they are no wider than a traditional moped, they are still able to filter and hence avoid the congestion and traffic delays 4 wheeled transport encounters.
